Traditional Danish Clothing

I thought it would be interesting to look at the Danish National Costume. I like the way the clothing is layered and the mix of patterns used on the different garments. The silhouette is quite fitted on the top half of the body and the skirts are very full and gathered. I think elements of the national dress could be re-interpreted into a contemporary look.
